Day 1 of Scratch Reflection

Today was our first day of Scratch in Computer Apps. It was surprising how easy it was to use. Coming from HTML, where you have to type all the commands yourself, having easily marked blocks to drag was refreshing. It felt good to led step-by-step through the activity because it is a new medium, but I think that soon being led step-by-step through the activity will get boring and inhibiting. I like having more structure at the beginning, but once I become sufficient at something I really like having freedom to work. I feel most creative when I have freedom to do what I want and am not being told what to do.
