Pride and Prejudice
One of my favorite books is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Pride and Prejudice was published in 1813. It is the story of Elizabeth Bennett, a young woman in Elizabethan England. It is a wonderful story about Elizabeth's troubles as an opinionated women in an incredibly mysoginistic society. She eventually finds happiness when she reconciles her opinions, her heart, and her values.

She is loved not only by common readers, but by critics and scholars who love her realism, irony, and social commentary.
